Custom Halloween Song, Written About Your Kid and Their Costume
We write one new song about one specific person: their name, the costume they picked, the street you walk on October 31. It is $19.99, it is in your inbox within 24 hours, and it is ready for a class party, an office costume contest, or a speaker in the front yard.

What is a custom Halloween song?
A custom Halloween song is a brand new song written and recorded about one specific person, with their real name and their actual costume in the lyrics, not an existing recording with a name dropped into it.
Every October the same five songs come out of the same speaker. Monster Mash, Thriller, Ghostbusters, This Is Halloween, and back to Monster Mash. Everybody knows them. Nobody owns them.
This is the opposite of that. You give us a person and a handful of true details. We write the words, produce the track, and send you the finished song as a file you can download, play off a phone, or push to whatever is wired up in the yard. It exists once, and it is about your kid.
One song is $19.99. Six songs are $100. No subscription, so there is nothing to cancel in November.
Should the song be fun-spooky or actually-spooky?
Fun-spooky and actually-spooky are two different songs, and you pick which one we write: a bouncy singalong a six-year-old in a dinosaur costume can shout along to, or something slow and low that holds up next to a fog machine.
Fun-spooky is for the kitchen, the classroom, the costume parade, and the car ride over to the neighborhood with the good candy. Silly, loud, and written to stay on the safe side of scary for a four-year-old.
Actually-spooky is for the walk-through haunt, the garage you turned into a morgue, the yard with the strobe and the thing that lunges at the sidewalk. It has no punchline, and it is built to loop for four hours without an obvious repeat.
Say which one you want when you order. If you need the fun version for the class party and the mean version for the driveway, that is two songs.
Will a Halloween song arrive in time?
Every SoundCard.ai song is emailed within 24 hours of the order, so a song ordered on the night of October 30 is in your inbox before the porch light goes on for the 31st.
Halloween is not one date, it is a two week window. Trunk-or-treat usually lands the weekend before. The class party is often the last school day before the 31st. Offices tend to run the costume contest on whichever Friday is closest. Haunts open in early October and work every weekend until they close.
Pick whichever of those you are aiming at and order the day before it. There is one price and one speed: $19.99, delivered by email within 24 hours. Last minute is a normal order here, not a special case.
The only thing that slows a song down is a costume that has not been decided yet. Wait for the final answer, then order.
What do you need to know before you write it?
To write a custom Halloween song, SoundCard.ai needs the name of the person it is about, what they are dressing up as this year, and three or four true details that only someone who knows them would have.
Good details are small and specific. The costume they switched to in the second week of October. The candy they will trade away by the end of the block. The house on the corner that goes full graveyard with speakers in the hedges. The fact that they will not put a coat on over the costume no matter what the temperature does.
For an office party, send the department name, the annual decorating war, and the person who commits to a full head-to-toe costume every single year. For a haunt or a yard display, send the name of the attraction and what actually happens in the room the song plays in.
You can also tell us what to leave out. No clowns. Nothing about ghosts if your kid is not ready for ghosts. Clean words for a classroom. We write around all of it.
Five ways to use a custom Halloween song
- A kids costume party Put it on when the first kid walks in wearing the costume. It is the only song in the room with the host's name in it, and it is not the Monster Mash for the ninth year in a row.
- A school or class song One song about the teacher and Room 12, with the costume parade and the party on the last school day before the 31st in it. Ask for clean words and a short repeating chorus written at a seven-year-old's reading level.
- An office party The costume contest needs something playing under it while people stand around holding paper plates. Send the department, the decorating war, and the manager who shows up in full latex every year.
- A haunted house or yard display Your song is one nobody in the room has heard before, unlike a track people can name in two seconds. Yours loops on the driveway or in the last room all night, and nothing about it sounds like the Halloween aisle at the drugstore.
- One kid, one costume, one song This is the gift version: their name, the thing they chose to be this year, the street you walk, the pillowcase they insist on carrying instead of a bucket. They can keep playing it in the car in November.
Leaving it late? Songs are delivered by email within 24 hours of ordering, so a Halloween song ordered the day before still arrives in time. You get an MP3 you can play from any phone, tablet, or speaker, and you keep it.
Halloween song questions
How much does a custom Halloween song cost?
A custom Halloween song is $19.99, and that covers the writing, the production, and the finished file emailed to you. A six song album is $100, which covers six kids in a friend group, six rooms in a haunt, or six departments in a costume contest. There is no subscription.
How long does it take to get a custom Halloween song?
A custom Halloween song is emailed to you within 24 hours of your order. Order on October 30 and it is there for the 31st. Order in the first week of October and you have it for opening weekend at the haunt.
Can I get a last minute Halloween song the day before Halloween?
Yes. 24 hours is the normal turnaround and not a rush upgrade, so ordering on October 30 for a party on October 31 is a regular order at the regular $19.99. Send the costume detail with the order rather than after it and you are set.
Can you put my kid's name and their costume in the Halloween song?
Yes, your kid's name and their costume both go into the lyrics of the custom Halloween song we write. Send the name, the spelling you want sung, and what they are going as, and both end up in the lyrics. If the costume has already changed twice this month, wait for the final answer and send that.
Can I get a scary Halloween song instead of a funny one?
Yes. Ask for actually-spooky and we write something slow, low, and humorless for a haunt, a garage walk-through, or a yard display. Ask for fun-spooky and we write the version a room full of first graders can shout along to in costume.
Can I play a custom Halloween song at a school party or in my yard?
Yes. You get a file you can download and play from a phone, a laptop, or whatever is plugged into the speakers on the porch, and you can loop it all night on October 31. Ask for clean words if it is going in a classroom and we write it that way from the start.
Order it tonight, have it before the porch light goes on
Send us the name, the costume, and whether you want fun-spooky or actually-spooky. The finished song is $19.99 and it lands in your email within 24 hours. Six songs, for six kids or six rooms of a haunt, is $100.
